Vanguard AML Rupali Bank Balanced Fund declares 5.0pc div

The board of directors of Singer Bangladesh has recommended 30 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The final approval of the dividend will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on April 23 at 10:30am at Singer Factory premises in Savar, said an official disclosure on Friday.

The record date for entitlement of dividend is on March 24.

The company's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) rose more than 22 per cent to Tk 11.96 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 against Tk 9.79 in the previous year.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 30.13 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 which was Tk 28.17 in 2017.

The consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) was negative Tk 6.06 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 against Tk 3.12 in the previous year.

In 2017, the company disbursed 100 per cent cash dividend.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today (Sunday) following its corporate declaration.

Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 1983, closed at Tk 240 on Wednesday, the last trading session of the week at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

Its shares traded between Tk 164.90 and Tk 254.60 in the last one year at the prime bourse.

The company's paid-up capital is Tk 766.94 million and authorised capital is Tk 1.0 billion while the total number of securities is 76.69 million.

The sponsor-directors own 57 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 15.05 per cent, foreign 7.34 per cent, and general public 20.61 per cent as on January 31, 2019, the DSE data shows.

Vanguard AML Rupali Bank Balanced Fund: The Trustee Committee of Vanguard AML Rupali Bank Balanced Fund has approved 5.0 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The Trustee Committee has approved the dividend considering the previous retained earnings.

The Trustee Board has also approved the audited financial statements for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

The total fund size is more than Tk 1.58 billion.

The Fund has also reported earnings per unit (EPU) of negative Tk 0.18, net asset value (NAV) per unit at market price of Tk 10.78, NAV per unit at cost price of Tk 11.52 and net operating cash flow per unit (NOCFPU) of Tk 0.12 for the year ended on December 31, 2018.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the unit of the fund today (Sunday) following its corporate declaration.

Vanguard AML Rupali Bank Balanced Fund, which was listed on the DSE in 2016, disbursed 12 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017.

Each unit of the fund closed at Tk 7.90 on Wednesday at Dhaka Stock Exchange.

The sponsor-directors own 25.20 per cent stake in the fund, while institutional investors own 73.11 per cent and the general public 1.69 per cent as of January 31, 2109, the DSE data shows.
