Walton Plaza, the largest sales and distribution network of electronics, electrical, and ICT products in Bangladesh, has provided more than Tk20 million (2 crores) financial assistance to a total of 800 families over death of hire-purchase customers and any member of their family.
In addition, the authorities of Walton Plaza also waived the remaining instalments of the concerned families, and the amounts of waived instalments also cross Tk 20 million (2 crores). The financial assistance was given under the 'Hire Purchase and Family Protection Policy' of Walton Plaza.
Walton Plaza is providing financial assistance, ranging from Tk 50,000 to Tk 300,000 based on the products' price, to the respective nominee on the death of the buyer during the instalment period. In addition, financial assistance from Tk 25,000 to Tk 150,000 is being given on the death of a family member of the respective buyers. In this case, the unpaid instalments are being adjusted from the payable financial assistance, and then the rest of the amount is given to the buyer or his/her family.
