CHUADANGA, June 20 (BSS): A total of 1,265 tonnes of Boro rice have been procured from four upazilas of the district until Thursday last under the ongoing Boro rice procurement programme.
The four upazilas of the district are Chuadanga Sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar.
Chuadanga District Food Office source said of the total rice 462 tonnes were procured from Chuadanga Sadar upazila, 132 tonnes from Alamdanga upazila, 222 tonnes from Damurhuda and 449 tonnes from Jibannagar.
The procurement target of Boro rice during this season in the district was fixed at 6,194 tonnes.
The procurement drive of Boro rice began in the district on June 1 and will continue until August 31, the source added.
