Cyclist Ujjal completes expedition in the Himalayas

Cyclist Arifur Rahman Ujjal has successfully completed an extraordinary expedition, cycling through three of the most famous and challenging trails in the Nepalese Himalayas.

The expedition, named Duranta Himalaya Expedition, was sponsored by Duranta Bicycle, the leading bicycle brand in Bangladesh, says a press statement.

During this nearly two-month-long expedition, he cycled through three of the most famous and difficult trails in the Himalayas: the Manaslu Circuit, the Annapurna Circuit, and the Everest Base Camp.

It is extremely rare to cycle these three internationally renowned circuits in one expedition. During this adventurous journey, he covered more than 819 kilometres through the difficult terrain of the Himalayas.

Upon his return to the country from Nepal, Ujjal was accorded a reception by Duranta Bicycle at the RFL Group head office in Dhaka on Thursday. During the event, he shared the emotional and physical challenges he faced during the journey.

Ujjal said, "Every day of this expedition was a new test for me. Sometimes fear and sometimes fatigue gripped me and sometimes I was lost in the majesty of nature. All in all, ' Duranta Himalaya Expedition ' is the greatest experience of my life. But I believe that with a strong attitude, preparation, and courage, no path is difficult."

He said, "This was possible because Duranta Bicycles was by my side in this journey. Their support is a great inspiration not only to me but also to the young cyclists of the country."

At the reception ceremony, Mohammad Allama Mursed Muneem, Chief Marketing Officer at RFL Group, Shariful Islam, Head of Marketing, Sumon Chandra Dhar, Finance Controller, Md. Al Amin Haque, Assistant General Manager (Business Operation), and Khandaker Arif Hossain, Brand Manager of Duranta Bicycles, were also present.
