Dr Azizul appointed BAEC member

Dr M Azizul Haque has recently been appointed as member (Planning) of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), according to a press release.

Before his joining the post, he was director general of Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Savar.

He also worked as director of the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology and was involved with producing radioisotopes, which benefited the patients of nuclear medicine.

Dr Haque started his career in the commission in 1989 as a scientific officer.

He obtained his Masters in radiochemistry from Kanazawa University in Japan and also did his Ph.D at the same university.

He hailed from a respectable Muslim family in Sunamganj and is the father of two sons, the release added.
