FBCCI forms 'Innovation Cell'
Vows to work effectively to achieve SDG

Private sector business leaders on Monday vowed to work effectively for fulfilling the clauses relating to science, technology and innovation for implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
They also emphasised the need for using the latest technological and scientific innovations in the rapid growing business sector of the country.
The business leaders made the commitment at a meeting of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) standing committee relating to the Ministry of Science and Technology held at the FBCCI board room.
The meeting also discussed the issues relating to the use of latest technological and scientific innovations in every sphere of the business activities to expedite the development process of the country. The committee has also formed an 'Innovation Cell' in this regard.
It also decided to induct government representatives and sector experts in the committee so that it can work more effectively.
Committee chairman ASM Kamal Uddin presided over the meeting while Yousuf Ashraf, director in-charge of the committee, was present.
FBCCI senior vice-president Sheikh Fazle Fahim, vice-president Muntakim Ashraf, co-chairmen, members and directors of FBCCI Rejaul Kariem Rejnu and Hafez Harun also attended the meeting.
