Four win Agri Machinery Talent Hunt Awards

Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) held the Agricultural Machinery Talent Hunt Award ceremony on Wednesday. Four contestants from across the country were awarded at the event.
The Farm Machinery and Postharvest Process Engineering Division (FMPE) of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) held the Agricultural Machinery Talent Hunt Award ceremony at the FMPE Seminar Room on Wednesday.
The programme was funded by (FMD) project, says a statement.
Four contestants from across the country were awarded at the event. Anwar Hossain won the first prize for his invention of remote control power tiller while Hossain Ali Biswas bagged the second prize for his jute cutting machine.
Two other awards went to Rizvi Ahmed Niloy for his AI-assisted fruit quality analysis and sorting machine, and Syed Muhammad Moinul Anwar for his flower pollen drying machine.
Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed presided over the session while Director (Research) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad was present as the chief guest.
BARI's Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr Md Abu Hena Sorwar Jahan; Director (Training and communication) Dr Md Ataur Rahman; Director (Oilseed Research) Dr Md Monirul Islam; Director (Horticulture Research Centre) Dr FM Abdur Rouf; Director (Tuber Crops Research Centre) Dr Md Matiar Rahman and former director (Training and Communication) Dr Md Ayub Hossain were present as special guests.
Chief Scientific Officer (FMPE Division) and Project Director Dr Md Nurul Amin presented the keynote paper while Senior Scientific officer (FMPE Division) Dr Muhammad Arshadul Haque delivered the welcome address.
