GAU and UNDP sign agreement on fish waste recycling project

A Letter of Agreement has been signed between Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to develop suitable methodologies for extracting valuable products from fish waste, with plans to expand this process in the future. The agreement was finalised on Sunday in the Academic Council meeting room of the university. This project is funded through the 'Local Government Industry in Climate Change (LoGIC)' project implemented by UNDP. GAU Vice-Chancellor Dr GKM Mustafizur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the signing ceremony. Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr M Moynul Haque, Treasurer Dr Md. Safiul Islam Afrad and Assistant Resident Representative of UNDP, Bangladesh Sardar Asaduzzaman were present as special guests. Project Coordinator of LoGIC AKM Azad Rahman and UNDP's Operations Manager Md Enamul Haque also attended the event.
