Murshedul Kabir DMD of Janata Bank

Md Murshedul Kabir has been promoted as deputy managing director (DMD) of Janata Bank Ltd, said the bank in a statement.

Prior to this, he was acting as general manager at the Dhaka North divisional office of the same bank.

He joined the bank as a senior officer through the Bangladesh Bank's Bankers' Recruitment Committee in 1988. During his long 32 years of career he worked in different capacities including area head, divisional head and in different departments at the head office of the bank.

He obtained his MSS degree in Economics from Dhaka University. He also did his MBA in human resource management. He is a life member of Bangladesh Economic Association. He is also a chess player of international rating.
