On the occasion of celebrating World Environment Day 2026, the Department of Environment organised a children and youth drawing competition at its headquarters on Saturday, with the aim of significantly increasing environmental awareness among children and adolescents. Director General of the Department of Environment Dr. Md. Lutfor Rahman attended the event as the chief guest. The paintings drawn by the participating children and adolescents were evaluated by Prof. Md. Robiul Islam, Professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Dhaka; Md. Ziaul Haque, Additional Director General of the Department of Environment; and Samina Nafiz, Children Art Specialist of Bangladesh Shishu Academy.
