The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Authority of Bangladesh successfully organised a 'Divisional PPP Conference and Workshop' at a hotel in Bogura on Monday, bringing together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to explore future investment prospects through PPP.

Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of the PPP Authority, was present as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Hosna Afroz, District Magistrate of Bogura, who emphasised the district's potential in attracting strategic investments.

Police Super of Bogura Zedan Al Musa and Additional Divisional Commissioner Parvez Raihan were also present, says a statement.

At the workshop, key discussions revolved around unlocking the investment potential of underutilised public assets, with particular focus on the vast lands of state-owned sugar mills in Bogura, which were identified as high-potential sites for future PPP ventures.

The speakers also reflected on successful PPP case studies, including the transformation of textile mills under PPP models, which served as an inspiring example of revitalising industries through public-private collaboration.

A series of panel discussions explored both large-scale and small-scale PPP project opportunities, showcasing the diversity of investment scopes available in the region. The conference served as a vital knowledge-sharing platform, fostering stronger public-private engagement to accelerate regional development.

This divisional workshop marked a significant step forward in promoting decentralised PPP initiatives and creating an enabling environment for sustainable, inclusive growth through collaborative efforts.
