A local agro-processing company is set to expand its newly deployed women-led telemarketing team as part of its strategy to diversify export markets and increase revenues.
PRAN-RFL, the country's largest agro-processor, has already employed 750 women in its Natore-based telemarketing unit. Now, the company plans to expand this workforce to 5,000 by 2027.
These trained women work remotely using modern communication tools, directly reaching out to vendors, grocery stores and commodity outlets in many countries to secure export orders.
Unlike traditional marketing, which requires overseas travel and physical presence, PRAN-RFL's telemarketing approach eliminates those costs while enabling direct international outreach.
Since its launch in 2024, the 750-strong telemarketing team has already generated Tk 350 million worth of export orders. Encouraged by this success, PRAN-RFL aims to increase export earnings by 20 per cent annually, according to PRAN-RFL marketing director Kamruzzaman Kamal.
PRAN-RFL has a strong domestic marketing workforce. However, the company lacked a dedicated team for international markets.
