The award winners with the guests and others at the concluding ceremony of the three-day exhibition at the IAB Center in Agargaon area of the capital on Thursday CHATTOGRAM, Nov 18: Three talented and young architects have been awarded KSRM Award for Future Architects: Best Under Graduate Thesis.'
The award was formally presented to the winners on behalf of KSRM at the end of three-day exhibition at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) Center in Agargaon area of the capital on Thursday, said a press release from KSRM group, a Chattogram-based steel manufacturing company.
This time the first award winner was Taorim Rahul Singh of Bangladesh University of Science and Technology (BUET), second was Mahir Aritra of Chittagong University of Science and Technology (CUET) and the third was Mohammad Nafiu of University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
The winners were handed a check of Tk 1 lakh, Tk 75000 and Tk 50,000 respectively and a memento.
The KSRM and IAB joint initiative presented the award to the future architects by showcasing the project based on the best research papers.
A judge panel consisting of five eminent architects selected the three on the basis of their vision and merit in modern architectural style. KSRM has presented this award for the fourth time.
Mir Manjurur Rahman, chief architect of the Directorate of Architecture, was the chief guest on the occasion and handed over awards and mementos to the winners.
