US Bangla to launch direct flights from Dhaka to Riyadh from Apr 21

US Bangla Airlines is going to launch direct flights from Dhaka to Riyadh from April 21, reports BSS.

The private airlines will operate five weekly flights on this route using a 436-seater Airbus A330-300.

"The largest private aircraft operator has started selling ticket for Dhaka-Riyadh route from its all sales centers today," said the aviation company in a press release signed by its General Manager (Public Relations) M Kamrul Islam in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The US Bangla flight will depart Dhaka at 1.35pm for Riyadh on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and will land in Riyadh at its local time at 5.10pm. Then the aircraft will depart Riyadh at 7.15pm and it will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) next day at 4am.

The minimum one-way fare from Dhaka to Riyadh including tax and surcharge has been fixed at Taka 54,065 and return fare at Taka 81,998.

From Riyadh to Dhaka, the minimum one-way fare is 846 Saudi riyal (SAR) while the return fare is 1,458 SAR.

"The US Bangla is going to operate direct flight from Dhaka to Riyadh to fulfill the expectations of the Bangladeshi expatriates in Saudi Arabia. . . even the US Bangla Airlines is very much careful as the expatriates can travel at any internal route of Bangladesh from Saudi Arabia," the release said.

The private sector operator has 24 aircraft which include two 330-300 Airbuses, nine 737-800 Boeing, planes.

It operates flights different domestic and international routes including Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi Muscat, Doha, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai and Kolkata.
