ABB donates Tk 20m for flood, student movement victims

The Association of Bankers Bangladesh Limited (ABB) has announced the contribution of Tk 20 million (2.0 crore) for flood relief and medical treatment of students and other individuals wounded during the recent movement, says a press release.
ABB, in its Board of Governors meeting held recently decided to come forward to help flood victims and the wounded during the student movement.
Selim R. F. Hussain, Chairman of ABB and Managing Director and CEO of BRAC Bank, presided over the meeting. Vice Chairman Mashrur Arefin and members of the Board of Governors -- Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Mohammad Feroz Hossain, and Masihul Huq Chowdhury, among others -- were present.
Of the total contribution of ABB, Tk 10 million will go to the Chief Advisor's Relief and Welfare Fund and Tk 10 million different organisations for medical treatment of students and people injured during the recent movement.
