Abdullah Al-Mahmud re-elected Chairman of Crystal Insurance

Abdullah Al-Mahmud (Mahin) has been re-elected as Chairman of Crystal Insurance PLC in its 115th Board of Directors meeting held on Tuesday.

With over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Mahmud is a prominent figure in Bangladesh's industrial sector, says a press release.

He is the founder of Mahin Group, having established Mahin Apparels Limited in 1993 and Hamid Fabrics Limited in 1996.

In addition to his industrial achievements, Mr. Mahmud is the founding Chairman of Crystal Insurance PLC in 2000 and currently serves on the Executive Committees of the Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA).

His leadership history also includes tenures as Director of the BGMEA and Vice President of the BTMA. Recognised repeatedly as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) and a recipient of the National Board of Revenue's Kor Bahadur Award, Mr. Mahmud balances his corporate responsibilities with philanthropic commitments to education and the arts, including a directorship at Jaflong Valley Boarding School.
