AK Khan & Co gets new CEO

KAM Majedur Rahman has joined the AK Khan & Company Limited as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) recently, says a statement.

Mr Rahman, a former banker with expertise in strategic planning, business development, information technology, risk management and capital market operation has worked in key positions in banks in Bangladesh, Australia and the Middle East and Africa region.

Prior to joining the AK Khan & Company, he was working as a consultant in Multilateral Development Agency projects on capacity development and financial management.

Majedur Rahman also served as the managing director of Dhaka Stock Exchange and as the CEO & Managing Director of Premier Bank Limited.

Earlier, he had served as the first Country Head of Bank Alfalah Limited, Additional Managing Director of AB Bank Limited, Deputy Managing Director IPDC Bangladesh Limited. He has also performed key roles at Standard Chartered Bank; ANZ Bank, Australia and Grindlays Bank, London. He has also worked at Mashreq Bank, Dubai.
