ARAMIT PLC AGM APPROVES 20PC FINAL CASH DIVIDEND

Aramit PLC, a unit of Aramit Group, a leading industrial conglomerate based in Chattogram, held its 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on a digital platform on Monday. The shareholders of the company approved 20% final cash dividend for the year ended June 30, 2024. The meeting was presided over by SM Alamgir Chowdhury, Chairman and Independent Director of the company. The meeting was attended by its Directors SM Shah Alom, Md Jakir Hossain and Md Shariqul Anam. Syed Kamruzzaman, Company Secretary, and Kanak Kanti Sen, COO and CFO of the company, spoke in the meeting. It was disclosed in the meeting that the company earned net profit before income tax of Tk 15.89 million and net profit after income tax of Tk 12.51 million for the year ended June 30, 2024. The company contributed Tk 126.73 million to the national exchequer in the form of customs duty, income tax and value added tax during the year.
