Banks instructed to pay March salaries by 23rd

Bangladesh Bank has directed all banks to ensure the disbursement of salaries and allowances for March 2025 by 23 March, reports UNB.

The instruction also includes the payment of retirement allowances for pensioners.

As per the official calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed on March 31, 2025, subject to moon sighting.

The government has decided to release the March salaries and allowances on March 23 for all government, semi-government, and autonomous institution employees, including gazetted and non-gazetted officers, commissioned and non-commissioned military personnel, as well as retired pensioners.
