BB revises upward mobile financial transaction limits

The central bank of Bangladesh on Thursday revised upward the daily individual transaction limit applicable for cash-in services by more than 66 per cent to Tk 50,000.

The monthly limit was hiked by 50 per cent to Tk 300,000, according to a circular.

The payment system department (PSD) of Bangladesh Bank issued the circular signed by its director Ms Rafeza Akter Kanta.

However, bank transfers (banks accounts and cards) remained unchanged daily at Tk 50,000 and monthly at Tk 300,000.

The BB enhanced the daily individual transaction limit applicable for cash-out through Mobile Financial Service (MFS) by 20 per cent to Tk 30,000.

Its monthly limit raised by 33 per cent to Tk 200,000.

The bank transfers (banks accounts and cards) applicable for cash-out remained unchanged at Tk 50,000 daily and Tk 300,000 monthly.
