A vegetable ghee (clarified butter made from vegetables), invented by the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) recently, is likely to be commercially produced very soon.
BCSIR signed a lease agreement with Kohinoor Emdad Agro Products Ltd. in this regard in the capital on Tuesday, says a statement.
The lease agreement for production of the vegetable ghee was inked by BCSIR Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman and Managing Director of Kohinoor Emdad Agro Products Ltd. Md Emdadul Haque at a ceremony at BCSIR meeting room.
The BCSIR-invented ghee is fully cholesterol-free and non-saturated fatty acids, which are health-friendly and delicious.
BCSIR Member (Development) Md. Golam Rabbany, related scientist and officers were present at the agreement-signing ceremony.
