BD urges Bahrain to recruit skilled professionals

Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen urged Bahrain to recruit skilled professionals including IT professionals from Bangladesh during his bilateral meeting with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatiff bin Rashid Al-Zayani in Manama on Friday

At the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Abdul Momen is visiting the country.

Dr. Momen briefed the Bahrain Foreign Minister about socio-economic development in Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a spokesperson at the foreign ministry said.

They discussed mutual exchange of land for construction of Embassy chancery buildings.

Momen thanked his counterpart for the cooperation of Bahrain government for the Bangladeshi community’s school in Manama.

The Bahrain Foreign Minister appreciated the government of Bangladesh for mutual support for each other over candidacy in international forums.

They discussed strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, economy, culture and tourism including easing visa for stranded expatriates, their family members and other visitors. Momen invited the Bahrain Foreign Minister to visit Bangladesh.

The minister gladly accepted the invitation and desired to visit Bangladesh in near future.

Momen was scheduled to attend Manama dialogue on 18-19 November.

Secretary (East) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Ambassador Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain Md Nazrul Islam, and other concerned officials attended the meeting as delegation members, the spokesperson of the foreign ministry said.
