The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the country's apex investment promotion agency, has launched a newly redesigned website aimed at improving investor experience and reinforcing Bangladesh's investment appeal.
The revamped platform showcases high-potential sectors identified in BIDA's FDI Heatmap and offers streamlined access to essential services, policy insights, and focal points across various ministries and government agencies.
The site is designed to cater to both prospective and existing investors, offering a more intuitive and informative digital interface.
Alongside the website launch, BIDA also introduced a redesigned logo, reflecting its modern, investor-focused vision.
"International investors often shortlist locations based on the quality of information available on IPA websites," said Nahian Rahman Rochi, head of Business Development at BIDA.
"These platforms play a vital role in providing timely information, responding to investor inquiries, and communicating competitiveness.
"A well-structured website can determine whether an investor stays or looks elsewhere. That's why BIDA's new site is built around key stages of the investor journey -- from exploring opportunities and assessing market potential to connecting with the right partners for project execution," Mr Rochi added.
BIDA Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun noted that the previous website followed a traditional government portal structure and lacked the investor-first orientation required for effective facilitation.
"We've changed that. The new platform reflects our shift toward an investor-first service model, grounded in clarity, responsiveness, and strategic engagement," he said.
As part of its broader transformation, BIDA is also engaging with strategic investors and stakeholders in key FDI markets to promote the new platform and underscore Bangladesh's commitment to building a seamless investment ecosystem.
