Biman offers 15pc discount on Dhk-Delhi tickets

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced 15 per cent discount on the Dhaka-Delhi ticket fare which will remain valid till May 30 this year.
Biman resumes its Dhaka-Delhi direct flights on May 13, with three flights a week initially on Saturday, Monday and Thursday, said a statement.
The departure time is 3:00 pm and will reach Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 5:20 pm (Bangladesh local time). The return flight will take off from Delhi for Dhaka at 6:20 pm (Indian local time).
The national flag carrier will use 162-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this route.
With the resumption of Dhaka-Delhi flights, Biman will become the single player on this route as there is no other airline operating flights to Delhi from Dhaka at present.
Biman had been operating flights to Delhi since 1980s but suspended the service in 2013.
Biman General Manager (public relations) Shakil Meraj said a significant number of passengers travel to Delhi for various purposes including treatment, tourism, business and government programmes.
