Biman resumes flights to India on Oct 29

FE REPORT | October 26, 2020 00:00:00

The state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to resume its regular flights to Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai in India on October 29 and November 01 and 15 respectively.

Covid-19 health guidelines will be in force during the flights, according to a Biman press release issued on Sunday.

Bangladesh is going to resume flights to India under 'air bubble' arrangement between the two countries after an eight-month of suspension induced by the coronavirus pandemic, said Tahera Khandaker, deputy general manager (public relations) of Biman.

Apart from the national flag carrier, the US-Bangla Airlines and Novoair will also start operating flights to India from October 28 under the same arrangement.

Meanwhile, five Indian airlines -- Air India, Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and GoAir -- will also resume flights to Bangladesh the same day.
