Md Jashim Uddin Md Jashim Uddin has been elected president of Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) for the session 2019-2020.
Giasuddin Ahmed has been elected senior vice president while K M Iqbal Hossain and Quazi Anwarul Haque vice presidents of the association, said a statement.
The BPGMEA election was held under the new election rules of commerce ministry. The election board chairman Abdur Razzak declared the election results at the association's office in the city on Wednesday.
The newly elected directors are Jashim Uddin, Shamim Ahmed, Ferdous Wahed, Shahedul Islam Helal, Quazi Anwarul Haque, Noor Alam Bacchu and Golam Kibria.
Other directors are Giasuddin Ahmed, Yusuf Ashraf, K M Iqbal Hossain, A K M Zahirul Quyum Khan, Humayun Kabir Bablu, Md Yaqub, A T M Syeedur Rahman Bulbul, Riad Mahmud, Md Shajahan, Tofayel Kabir Khan, Md Khorshed Alam, Hazi Abdul Mannan, Md Abdul Mumit and Md Enamul Haque.
The 21-member board of directors, including the newly elected seven, will run the association for the next one year.
