Canada keen to invest in aviation sector

The Canadian government has expressed its keen interest to invest in the aviation sector of Bangladesh and extend cooperation to certification of aircraft, aviation safety and security, reports BSS.

The interest was shown when Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Benoit Pre Fontaine made a courtesy call-on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal at his Secretariat office.

During the meeting, they also discussed about the supply of three Dash-8 aircraft by Bombardier, an aircraft-manufacturing unit of Canada, said an official release.

The Canadian government also expressed its keenness to supply Bangladesh aircraft adapted to Bangladesh climate.

Additional Secretaries of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Md Imran and AHM Ziaul Haque were present in the meeting, among others.
