CBS upgrade underway at Al-Arafah Islami Bank

The Core Banking System (CBS) upgrade programme of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC is underway with the objective of enhancing technological capabilities, building a modern banking infrastructure, and ensuring safer, faster, and uninterrupted banking services for customers.
The CBS upgrade programme was officially initiated on 30 January, says a press release.
In line with the ongoing technology-driven transformation of the banking sector and with the aim of delivering international-standard banking services, the bank has undertaken this comprehensive CBS upgrade initiative. Through this upgrade, the bank's information technology infrastructure will be further strengthened, significantly enhancing its capacity to deliver future-oriented digital banking services.
Upon completion of the technical upgrade activities, limited branch-based banking services, including cash transactions only, will resume from 5 February. Subsequently, from 8 February, Al-Arafah Islami Bank will fully restore all regular banking operations along with online, mobile, and other digital banking services.
With the approval of Bangladesh Bank, Al-Arafah Islami Bank has undertaken this CBS upgrade as a special technological initiative. During the system upgrade process, the highest level of security for customers' financial information is being ensured, and all activities are being implemented in compliance with internationally recognized cyber-security and data protection standards.
