COMMERCIAL BANK OF CEYLON Opens DEPZ SUB-BRANCH

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations opened its new DEPZ Sub-Branch and Offshore Banking Unit (OBU) on Tuesday, marking another significant step in the bank's continued expansion and commitment to facilitating global trade. Chief Executive Officer Najith Meewanage along with Executive Director of Dhaka EPZ Md. Shariful Islam inaugurated the sub-branch. Deputy CEO & Chief Operating Officer Haily Algewatte and Deputy CEO & Head of Corporate Banking Mahmud Hossain were also present. This new unit of the bank is equipped to provide specialized offshore banking solutions, seamless general banking services, and tailored trade finance facilities to support export-oriented industries.
