DCCI confce today to woo investment

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) holds an international conference today (Sunday) to attract more local and foreign investment in the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference titled 'Destination Bangladesh' at 10:00 am at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre here.
Commerce minister Tofail Ahmed, state minister for finance and planning MA Mannan and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) will attend the event.
The arrangement of the conference is timed to coincide with the 60th founding anniversary of the DCCI.
The DCCI, the country's largest and proactive trade body, started its journey on October 28, 1958.
Local and foreign businessmen and resource persons are expected to participate in the conference, the first of its kind being organised by the DCCI.
The daylong event will host seven sessions at the same venue where keynote papers on trade, investment will be presented.
The sessions are gateway to growth and investment, sustainable development goals (SDG) Bangladesh, infrastructure Bangladesh-private sector engagement, infrastructure Bangladesh-financing, sustainable jute pulp paper and jute sector development, investment Bangladesh-foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities and innovation and digital Bangladesh.
