Denmark wants to invest in BD’s port, offshore wind energy

Denmark has expressed keen interest to invest into Bangladesh's port infrastructure and offshore wind energy as well as support to further development of the pharmaceutical sector, reports BSS.
These were revealed while Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Christian Brix Moller held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin at the foreign ministry on Tuesday, said a foreign ministry's press release in Dhaka on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the foreign secretary welcomed increasing interests of Danish companies for investments in Bangladesh.
Jashim highlighted the interim government's reform initiatives and thanked Denmark for its specific offer of support to Bangladesh in the areas of good governance, democracy, human rights, institutional capacity building as well as rehabilitation of the victims of torture.
The foreign secretary said Bangladesh highly valued and attached great importance to its longstanding relations with Denmark.
He said that Dhaka looked forward to transforming Bangladesh-Denmark bilateral relations into a broad-based economic partnership with particular focus on trade and investment, sustainability and green transition.
Both sides expressed the two countries' desire to further strengthen bilateral relations for mutual benefit.
Danish envoy congratulated Jashim on his recent appointment as the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh.
