Digital connectivity in all unions in a year

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said all union parishads across the country will be brought under digital connectivity within one year, reports UNB.

Besides, a digital laboratory will be established in each educational institution across the country, he said.

The minister said this while addressing a programme marking the 12th anniversary of the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University on its campus in Trishal, Mymensingh, on Saturday.

The university and the Mymensingh district cultural forum jointly organised the event.

Vice Chancellor Dr HM Mustafizur Rahman presided over the ceremony and Prof Rafiqul Islam delivered his speech as a guest of honour.

Shipping ministry Secretary Abdus Samad, Anti-Corruption Commission Secretary Shamsul Arefin, International Crime Tribunal Chief Investigating Officer Abdul Hannan Khan and International Nazrul Practice Centre Vice-chairman Nazrul Islam Mannan were present at the programme.
