Digital fair starts in Rajshahi today

RAJSHAHI, Feb 12 (BSS): A three-day 'Digital Innovation-2018' fair begins in the city today (Tuesday), aiming to encourage people to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in a push towards 'Digital Bangladesh'.

The fair organised by the district administration will be held on the playground of Rajshahi College. Latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning items will be on display in around 70 stalls under five pavilions at the fair.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim is likely to inaugurate the fair as the chief guest.

At a press conference on Monday, Deputy Commissioner Helal Mahmud Sharif said the fair is a step towards providing extensive services to the citizens. The fair will give people an idea about e-services available at their doorsteps.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nasima Khatun also spoke.
