DNCRP fines 37 businesses

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) fined 37 business entities over Tk 0.87 million on Sunday for various irregularities.

Several mobile courts of DNCRP conducted the market monitoring drives across the country.

In Dhaka, Hotel Al Razzak was fined Tk 0.4 million, Muslim Biriyani Tk 25,000, Mithai Tk 0.1 million and Muslim Sweets Tk 0.2 million.

They were charged with preparing and selling foods in an unhygienic condition.

The remaining 33 business establishments in 11 districts were fined Tk 0.15 million.

They were fined for selling date-expired products, for not showing maximum retail price (MRP) tag on the products and for not displaying price lists in business establishments.
