Don't make financial dealings to go to Japan

Ministry urges overseas jobseekers

FE REPORT | October 24, 2019 00:00:00

The expatriates' welfare ministry has urged overseas jobseekers not to make financial dealings with anyone for going to Japan as technical interns.

Only the aspirants who will successfully complete required training, arranged by the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment (MoEWOE), will be able to go to Japan, said a press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday.

The release signed by Kazi Abed Hussain, deputy secretary of the MoEWOE, said the overseas jobseekers who will take part in Japanese language training at technical training centres (TTCs), run by the manpower bureau, will become eligible to go to Japan.

But they have to pass the examination of Internatio-nal Manpower Develop-ment (IM), Japan after completing training course.

The interns will go to Japan without migration costs, the press release said.

Six-month Japanese language training is going on at 32 TTCs in the country, it added.

Japan will recruit 340,000 foreign workers in its 14 sectors by 2025 from nine countries including Bangladesh.
