Faruk chairman, Babul Secy Gen of BJFCI

Faruk Ahmed, Economic Editor of The Daily Observer, and Md Enamul Haque Babul, Special Correspondent of BSS, have been elected Chairman and Secretary General respectively of Bangladesh Journalists' Foundation for Consumers and Investors (BJFCI) at a meeting of senior journalists at the National Press Club on Saturday, according to a press release of the organisation.

The meeting, chaired by Faruk Ahmed, also formed a 33-member National Organising Committee (NOC) for the BJFCI to empower journalists, better address consumers' concerns and promote investors' interests.

The NOC comprises vice chairmen, joint secretaries general, members and other office-bearers from different media outlets of the country.
