FBCCI election on Sept 7

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country's apex trade body, is set to hold the election to its Board of Directors on September 7.

On the day, voters will elect the president, senior vice-president, two vice-presidents, and other directors of the board for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 terms.

The FBCCI Election Board officially announced the schedule in a press release on Wednesday.

This year's polls will be conducted under the Trade Organisation Act 2022 and the Trade Organisation Rules 2025.

According to the rules, the size of the FBCCI board has been reduced from 80 to 46 members, a move aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing decision-making efficiency.
