Foreign cos to get land in hi-tech park

Exclusive zone will be created in Kaliakoir Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City for ensuring availability of land for foreign IT companies aimed at achieving the ICT export target of US$ 5.0 billion by 2021.

"Both local and foreign investors are enjoying attractive incentive package for investing in the country's IT parks and in addition to that, land will be allocated to the foreign companies in the IT parks for making exclusive zone for IT business," ICT Secretary Zuena Aziz said during an agreement signing ceremony on Monday.

On behalf of their respective organisations, Deputy Project Director of Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) Project of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Tarique M Barkatullah and Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) Dr Khandoker Azizul Islam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the conference room of the ICT Division.

The deal was signed to work together to bring investors in the Hi Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City.
