The France Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) on Wednesday arranged a business networking event, with a focus on internal development and strengthened bilateral ties between the two countries' businesspeople.
It hosted senior executives, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from both countries at a hotel in the capital.
The chamber highlighted key opportunities and current challenges for cross-border collaboration to support each other in utilising untapped business opportunities.
Speaking at the programme, CCIFB President Md Muin Uddin Mazumder highlighted the current global and national environment and economic transformation.
"The current interim government has taken a number of comprehensive initiatives to reform various sectors. Requesting assistance from global organisations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) appears to be aligned to stabilise the economy of our country," he said.
He congratulated the chamber's member companies for their growth and success despite various adversities.
Sharing the chamber's future roadmap, he said the CCIFB's focus continued to be on expanding the value it brought to its members, making sure they were well-equipped with tools, knowledge, and the connections necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving global economy.
Former CCIFB presidents Shah Sayed Kamal, Syed Farhad Ahmed, Humayun Rashid, M Maksud, Maruf Alam, and Shafquat Matin shared extensive experience of their respective business sectors and enlightened the event by offering well-considered insights to administer the chamber's upcoming initiatives.
