Frobel Academy students paint children-friendly zebra crossing

Students of Frobel Academy painting a children-friendly zebra crossing on a Panchlaish road on Monday

Students of Frobel Academy on Monday painted a children-friendly zebra crossing on Panchalaish road, Chittagong, close to the school premises on the occasion of Independence Day, says a press release.

Frobel Academy is an inclusive school that caters to needs of children with down syndrome, autism, etc within mainstream premises. By painting the zebra crossing the children realised that they can also play a role as responsible city dwellers. The entire process of creating the zebra crossing, from planning to designing and inviting delegates were done by the students of the academy.

Children of the Chittagong chapter of Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh (DSSB) participated in the event and worked alongside the students of Frobel Academy. The City Planner of Chittagong City Corporation AKM Rezaul Karim joined the event as chief guest and Managing Director of BSRM Aameir Alihussain, Finance Director of BSRM Zohair Taherali, Director of Frobel Academy Huwra (Tehseen) Zohair and Sabeen Aameir attended the event with DSSB Chittagong chapter convener Tasneem Abedin.
