Well performing frontier markets like Bangladesh, Vietnam and Sri Lanka offer exceptional growth potential and will soon take the lead in venture capital (VC), private equities (PE), corporate and strategic investment portfolios.

"The thriving growth trajectory in the fields of VC and PE as reflected by Bangladesh, Vietnam and Sri Lanka herald a new beginning of IT-driven economy," said Shameem Ahsan, General Partner of Fenox Venture Capital and Chairman of eGeneration Group at the Global Capital Summit in his keynote address.

The keynote session titled "Making the Most of Tech Revolutions in Emerging & Frontier Markets" was held Thursday at Silicon Valley, USA and was participated by over 300 venture capitalists, investors, new technology companies and entrepreneurs, said a statement.

Shameem Ahsan, also chairman of Venture Capital & Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPEAB) and Director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBBCI) said: With massive shift in economic growth and tech innovations, frontier and emerging markets are becoming strategic case for the global venture capitalists who want to diversify their global portfolios. These markets are less driven by global macroeconomic conditions hence less volatilecompared to investing in developed economies. Much like what we have done in Fenox, to diversify the risks, our fund with Innotech has a part of it allocated for emerging markets, including Bangladesh."
