Gold prices edge down in local market

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has lowered the price of gold by Tk 1,050 per bhori, effective from Sunday.
According to the new rate, the price of a bhori of 22-carat gold will now be
Tk 170,761, reports UNB.
The Bajus notification stated that the price of pure gold (acid gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the price of gold has been revised considering the overall situation.
According to the new rates, the price of the best quality or 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been fixed at Tk170,761; 21-carat gold at Tk 1,63004 ; 18-carat gold at Tk 139,711; and traditional gold at Tk 115,532.
