Hathazari bankers\\\' assoc formed

CHITTAGONG, June 20: Branch managers of different banks at Hathazari upazila have formed a bankers' association with Syed Kutub Uddin Alam as its convener. Mr Alam is the manager of First Security Islami Bank Hathazari Branch.

Member secretary of the 21-member association is Mohammed Ishaque, Hathazari Branch manager of Al Arafah Islami Bank. The convening committee has been formed for three months, a statement said adding that a full-fledged Bankers Association of Hathazari would be formed later on.

A meeting to this end was held recently at Hathazari Sadar with Syed Kutub Uddin Alam in the chair. The meeting was attended by Md Mujibul Huq of Southeast Bank Ltd, ABM Mostafa of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd, AKM Shamsuddin Ahmed of National Bank Ltd, Md Sirajul Huq of Prime Bank Ltd, Abdul Mabud of Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd, Khorshedul Alam Chowdhury of Janata Bank Ltd, Quamrul Hasan Rumi of One Bank Ltd, Md Jashim Uddin of Agrani Bank Ltd, AHM Rezaul Karim of Krishi Bank Ltd and Syed Jamal Ullah of  Pubali Bank Ltd.
