Hong Kong Q4 exports to China for outward processing rise 2.0pc

HONG KONG, Mar 12 (Reuters): Hong Kong's total exports to China for outward processing rose 2.0 per cent to HK$151.2 billion (US $19.28 billion), in terms of value in the fourth quarter of 2017, the Census and Statistics Department said on Monday.
Outward processing trade involves the shipment of raw materials to mainland China for manufacturing.
Finished products are then shipped back to Hong Kong for re-export.
