ICAB elects president, vice-presidents

Dewan Nurul Islam FCA was elected president and Moddassar Ahmed Siddique FCA, Mahmudul Hasan Khusru FCA and Mahamud Hosain FCA were elected vice-presidents of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), the national professional accounting body, for 2018, says a press statement.
Members of the council -- ICAB -- elected the new office-bearers before holding 45th Annual General Meeting chaired by outgoing ICAB President Adeeb Hossain Khan FCA at ICAB auditorium on Sunday.

Dewan Nurul Islam is the managing director of Grant Thornton Consulting Bangladesh limited, one of the world's leading advisory firms. He is also chairman of the National Asset Management Limited, an asset management company licensed by BSEC.
Moddassar Ahmed Siddique has been reelected vice president for 2018. He is now serving the KDS Group as Group CFO. Before joining the KDS Group, Siddique served BSRM as Chief Accountant and Aramit Ltd. and Aramit Cement Ltd. as General Manager (Finance & Accounts) and Company Secretary.
Mahmudul Hasan Khusru is the Director and CEO of DataFort Limited (a Franchisee of InfoFort LLC, UAE), a Group Concern of Expo Group, Bangladesh.
He has been serving as the faculty member of ICAB on Taxation for last 14 years.
Mahamud Hosain has also been reelected vice-president. He is actively engaged in business and currently is the chairman of Link In Limited, a limited company, working in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical construction area in the telecom, development, and power and infrastructure sector.
Mahamud is also engaged with World Bank, Dhaka Office as Financial Management Consultant (STC).
