The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has announced the appointment of Md. Shabbirul Alam Chowdhury as Secretary and/or CEO of ICSB, effective from 7 June.
Mr. Chowdhury, a former Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, is an accomplished central banking professional and financial governance expert with over three decades of progressive leadership experience in Bangladesh's financial sector.
He holds multidisciplinary qualifications in Law, Finance & Banking, and Computer Science. He has also undergone advanced professional training at several leading national and international institutes to further sharpen his expertise.
In addition to his regulatory career, Mr. Chowdhury is a respected trainer, mentor, and guest faculty member in the banking and financial sector.
