Winners of the 'EcoSolve' essay competition pose with high officials of IFIC Bank at the award ceremony in the city on Saturday. IFIC Bank has honoured the winners of the 'EcoSolve' essay competition, an initiative designed to encourage innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges among the younger generation.
The competition aimed to foster awareness among students across the country about environmental issues in their surroundings and inspire them to propose practical, sustainable solutions, says a statement.
Under the theme "Your Environment, Your Responsibility," IFIC Bank organised this unique essay competition for students from universities, colleges, schools and madrasas nationwide.
From over 3,000 submissions, 12 students' essays were selected for their insightful identification of local environmental problems and proposed solutions.
The award ceremony took place on Saturday at the IFIC Tower in Dhaka, with Md Mehmood Husain, Chairman of IFIC Bank, as the chief guest. He handed over crests, certificates and honorary cheques to the winners across three different categories.
In his welcome speech, the bank's Managing Director Syed Mansur Mustafa acknowledged all participants as winners and highlighted environmental protection as a personal and collective social responsibility.
