The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will take the help of an innovative tool to find out the wrong information submitted with the income tax return statement, reports BSS.
The technological system dubbed as the "Return Processing Tool" invented by the tax zone 10 has already shown its efficiency to detect the wrong information, said officials.
Talking to the news agency, NBR's Chief Innovation Officer and Member Kanon Kumar Roy said the system has been developed and improvised to unearth any dissimilarity in the income tax return statement and it is working well.
"It's not possible to scrutinize all the income tax return statements manually, but the innovative tool will enable us to do so," he opined.
The NBR has taken the initiative to use this tool in all tax zones alongside the tax zone 10, said Roy, adding, "We will issue official directives to all tax zones in this regard soon."
