Int'l flights operations to start at Cox's Bazar Airport in Oct: Sk Bashir

COX'S BAZAR, August 28 (BSS) - Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin said on Thursday international flight operations woule begin at Cox's Bazar Airport in the middle of October. "Eighty percent construction work of the international terminal building of the airport has already been completed and other preparations are also progressing fast," he told the reporters after inspecting the progress of the construction work of the Cox's Bazar Airport. Earlier, he held a meeting with the airport authorities and project officials and later inspected different development projects in the airport. He also talked to the concerned authorities at that time. Replying to a question, Bashir Uddin said that the flight operations on international routes will start with one aircraft and the flights would be increased phase by phase.
