CHATTOGRAM, Aug 26: An international steel conference styled as 'Bangladesh Steel 2018' will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel in the port city on September 5 and 6.
Steel Group, an information and global networking platform based in Mumbai, India, in association with the SUFI (Steel Users Federation of India), will organise the conference.
More than 300 delegates from different countries such as the USA, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Vietnam, Australia, Italy, Singapore and India are expected to participate in the event along with major stakeholders of the steel industry in Bangladesh.
PHP Family, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Ltd (BSRM) and RSRM are the main sponsors of the event from Bangladesh.
Organisers said the industrial growth in Bangladesh has shown a remarkable growth pattern over the last two decades and the steel industry is also moving rapidly towards meeting the demand in the future by implementing modern and innovative technology.
The conference will focus on addressing some key issues for the benefit of the steel industry, they said.
